Honoring the Mother
This picture is at Jim's old house and includes from left to right:
Me, Oscar, Jim, Lexus (Oscar's littermate) and Morrigan, Oscar's mother.
Morrigan passed away yesterday. This picture does a good job of illustrating how she always behaved when I saw her. Regal and tolerant and surveying her domain as her silly offspring struggled to grow up, learn their place in the world, and honor her gifts of life and love.
Thank you, Morrigan, for your beloved babies. I swear to cherish them always.
May your Spirit live with us forever more.

She has been the Maiden,
and remembers that joy.
She has been the Mother,
and recalls that pleasure.
But she has changed,
learned the mysteries of the Wheel
ever turning,
the Wheel that is life, death, and rebirth.
May your Spirit live with us forever more.
